Karl Jobst DDS, FAGD, FICOI
Dr. Jobst grew up in a small all American country town, on a cattle farm about an hour from Grove in Lamar, Missouri. Dr. Jobst had the opportunity to visit the Grand Lake Area as a teen and was greatly impressed with the area and its natural beauty. He knew he would someday call the Sooner state his home. After high school, Dr. Jobst attended college for 4 years and graduated from Missouri State in Springfield, Mo. After college, he attended the University of Tennessee College of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his degree in 1998. Dr. Jobst established his dental clinic in Grove later that year, which later became known as Grand Lake Dental.
Dr. Jobst founded Grand Lake Dental by always being on the leading edge of technology and clinical advancements in dentistry. His passion for dentistry and an increasing demand for his services caused Dr. Jobst to open one of the area’s largest and most modern dental clinics in 2010. The newly constructed, state-of-the art clinic was built specifically to bring the most advanced dental technologies and care to the Grand Lake area. The clinic – which hosts 7 treatment rooms with cable TV, and large 6 foot windows that open to the beautiful creek and landscaping – provides a relaxing and soothing atmosphere for patients.
Dr. Jobst has continued his education through the years by completing many advanced postgraduate programs from the Las Vegas Institute and the University of Southern California, among numerous other continuing education programs. Dr. Jobst completed a anesthesiology program through the University of Southern California after dental school and is only 1 of about 30 general dentists in the state to have a permit from the Dental Board to put people to sleep with a IV using hospital grade anesthesia.
Dr. Jobst has received his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellowship from the International College of Oral Implantology. This is impressive considering that fewer than 3% of US dentists have received their fellowship from the AGD, and there are only four dentists in the state of Oklahoma to have received fellowships from both boards. The Oklahoma Dental Association has even recognized him for his continuing education efforts in 2008 for going beyond what is required.
Dr. Jobst is very proud to be able to practice part time in the only dental office on Music row in Nashville, TN. Founded and is run by Dr. Jobst’s former classmate and friend Dr. Jody Jones, the office is home to many of country music’s top artists and music industry personnel.
In his personal time, Dr. Jobst is an avid pilot having a private pilot’s license, and is instrument rated with high performance and complex endorsements. He has completed over 600 flight hours. When not flying and traveling he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Jobst also greatly enjoys attending his church and being active in the community and contributing where he can.
